On March 26, 2004 I went to Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings with severe migraine headaches. I woke up that morning unable to stand up or even dress myself, so my wife helped me there. I had a CT Scan ( cat scan ) done, and the scan came back showing a tumor the size of a fist inside my skull, and very likely cancerous. The doctors were worried about damage to the brain tissue and hemorrhaging. I was immediately taken to Lincoln, NE. to Bryan LGH, where an MRI ( more detailed scan ) was performed and it confirmed the presence of the tumor. The neuro surgeon who saw me had very bleak outlooks for a speedy recovery. I was to be operated on early the next morning. The doctors said the surgery may take up to 8 hours. Our church began to pray and ask God for a miracle. Early the next morning another CT scan was taken to find the exact location of the tumor, then they cut my scalp from the left corner temple down to my right ear and cut out a piece of my skull over my right eye. Two hours later the doctors informed my wife Gina that they could not find the tumor! Praise God! No tumor, no cancer! Even though there was longer a tumor to be found in my head, the doctors were not going to release me from the hospital for at least two weeks, which would have been around mid-April, but I was up and walking at home for my son’s birthday on April 1^st! None of this happened by accident, coincidence, luck, or anything else people try to say that would cover up God’s miracle. CT scans and MRI’s generally don’t get things wrong - unless God gets involved! It also didn’t happen without faith from a praying church and praying people in that church that believe in miracles, signs, and wonders! We always expect to see them!
